Bench Update Dec 6 2020
Work continues on the Hasegawa 1/48 Typhoon Mk 1b. First up was the cockpit. It goes together very logically and with a good fit across all pieces. It was then primed and painted with Tamiya XF-71 Cockpit Green (IJN) which is a close enough colour for RAF Interior Green. The only aftermarket I have added are seatbelts from Kamizukuri, these are made from thin card and paper tape. They are very tiny, but with patience and a steady hand they turn out well. The fit has been very good with only some slight filler required in spots. One area that several previous reviews had mentioned that there is sometimes a small gap in the wing roots. In several cases builder had to use some thin plasticard to fill the gap. After putting the wings on I made sure to tape them up to the correct dihedral. That seemed to result…
