Bandai 1/72 TIE Interceptor Part 4

All three sections now together.  I’ll use Alclad Ultra-Gloss to seal in the base painting prior to weathering. Weathering starts with UMP’s Ultimate Weathering Wash. I like the product as there is no order and being water based after about 20-30 minutes, I use cotton buds dipped in water to take the excess off. At this point, the three main assemblies are ready to be put together. The base was primed and painted with Tamiya XF82 Ocean Gray 2 (RAF) Everything ready to go together.

Bandai 1/72 TIE Interceptor Part 3

The cockpit area consists of an inner and outer tub. Based on my own observations even though there are decals provided for the cockpit instrument panels, once the cockpit is closed up you will not see these panels. The cockpit being all black does not help the cause either. In that case, I decided to skip the decals. I did, however, decide to add some red details using a pin and a nail polish dot applicator. I really doubt these will be seen.   Inner tub was then assembled. Followed by the outer assembly. Just a few small details to put on and paint. Assembled. As you can see, the cockpit is almost invisible.
