The YF-23 was in competition to the YF-22 in the ATF (Advanced Tactical Fighter) completion in which the YF-22 won, becoming the F-22 Raptor in the USAF. The YF-23 had a faster speed and a greater range and many viewed it as a viable platform at the time.
Overall a fairly straightforward-looking kit. I didn’t realize how big the aircraft is.
