1/32 Hayabusa Muses-C by Aoshima

Found this gem at an estate sale recently.  Hayabusa was a robotic spacecraft developed by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) to return a sample of material from a small near-Earth asteroid named 25143 Itokawa to Earth for further analysis. You can find more info in the Wikipedia entry. Low part count but very nicely detailed.  If you airbrush you will be doing some masking but it looks like it will build up well.

Bench Update July 28th

Can someone tell me what happened to July?   Not a ton of time but slow and steady progress.  The Moosaroo cup kit arrived but I have to wait until August 1st to open it up.  In the meantime I have continued work on a Bandai 1/144 Tie Fighter, part of a set of two with the other one being the Tie Advanced. It was the perfect time to try some new products with the Tie Fighter. Primed and then put a coat of Aqueous Metal Black on. Next step after a gloss coat of Aqua-Gloss, I am trying the Mr. Metallic Color GX Metal Violet, mixed with Mr. Color Rapid Thinner I did a 40/60 paint to thinner and applied just 2-3 very light misting coats. Behind you can see one of my paint mules I use for testing new products. I’m quite pleased with the results.
