Bandai 1/72 TIE Interceptor Part 2
Started work on the solar panels The fit is quite excellent and very precise. In some cases, I had to sand away from where some paint had been sprayed to get things to fit. Here is one assembled with just the blasters to be painted. Since it is a very small area to be sprayed and I have to be precise, it is the perfect job for the Sotar 20/20 airbrush. I could mask the area but the Sotar has such a tiny spray area, I won’t need too. Both of them after painting.

As I previously mentioned. the next build will be the Bandai 1/72 TIE Interceptor. I picked this kit up a while ago and did an inbox review of it at that point. Looking forward to building it up. The first order of business is figuring out what color I wanted to paint it. There have been many discussions across the internet about what the true color is. Suggestions from a light grey to a more bluish dark gray. I prefer the later myself but I also knew I was going to be adding a wash which will darken and weather the base coat. In the end, there were two possible choices, both by Tamiya. XF 66 Light Grey and XF 82 Ocean Grey 2 (RAF). I decided to paint two parts of the kit to see how they looked.
