Got the Sherman Firefly just about done. Did the base using celluclay then airbrushed with craft paint thinned with Windex. Shot it through the badger anthem 155 airbrush as it has a larger needle. Worked out very well and I’ll use craft paint again for bases. Weathering was done with a mix of Doc O’Brian’s weathering powders. UMP washes and Vallejo weathering muds. All in all I’m very pleased with how this came out for my first 1/35 build and looking forward to trying other ones.
A bench update video featuring work on the Tamiya F189 and Dragon Firefly. Also showing a door prize of Badger Stynylrez primer I won at the London Scale Model Show
Last week was the London Scale Model Show. A bi-annual event put on by IPMS London which I’m a member. As is fairly typical with these sort of shows, one goes in with a set budget in mind and usually exceeds it. Or as I said on another forum, I need more kits like I need a hole in the head. :-) Here is a quick review of my haul.
